Ben Marshall studied Oboe at Trinity College of Music with Tess Miller, followed by further study at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Alison Teale. For many years Ben enjoyed a freelance career in the UK, often specialising on Cor Anglais with orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Ben has performed at the BBC Proms, recorded movie soundtracks and toured the world with these orchestras. In 2024 Ben moved to Dublin to join the RTÉ Concert Orchestra as Principal Oboe No.2 doubling Cor Anglais.
