Maxime Alberti, piano
Originally from Lyon, Maxime Alberti continued his musical training at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in the class of Sylviane Deferne, where he obtained a Master’s degree in solo performance with distinction. He then joined the École Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris to work with Rena Shereshevskaïa, and in 2020 received the Concert Diploma there with unanimous honors. In 2022, he returned to Geneva to deepen his pedagogical approach under the guidance of Cédric Pescia, earning a second Master’s degree dedicated to teaching.
Curious, eclectic, and deeply committed to his artistic exploration, Maxime Alberti nourishes his practice through encounters and travel. He has refined his craft with major piano figures such as Dominique Merlet and Anne Quéffelec, and has benefited from the support of the Royaumont and Villecroze foundations. His sensitivity, attentiveness, and spontaneity are fully expressed on stage, whether in solo recital or chamber music. His career has quickly taken on an international dimension: he gave his first recital in the United States in the “Pink Room” of the Consulate of France in New York, won the Vera-Lautard Competition in Yekaterinburg (Russia), and performed in China in 2024 during a tour with the Trio Ernest, in renowned venues such as the Guotai Art Center in Chongqing and the Oriental Art Center in Shanghai. In 2025, he will make his Canadian debut at the Syrinx Festival in Toronto, where he has already been invited back in 2026 to give masterclasses.
