Milo McCarthy is an avid composition and conducting student currently in his third year of the Bachelor of Music program at the Cork School of Music. His work spans a wide range of styles and ensembles, with choral, chamber, solo, and orchestral compositions having been performed. In 2024, Milo was awarded first prize in the Feis Ceoil Chamber Composition Competition, and more recently received the special award for Best New Composition at the UCC All-Ireland Intervarsity Choral Competition. He studies conducting under Geoffrey Spratt and Thomas Doyle, and currently serves as conductor of the Midleton IMP Choir and is the 2024–2025 student conductor of the MTU Glór Choral Society.
